Salvation Army Blitz Build

2014 Salvation Army Blitz Build – Modern Building Company’s (former) CEO, Gage Chrysler, along with other Modern employees, and members of the community are volunteering their time to help Chico State Construction Management students organize and build transitional housing for the Salvation Army. Gage, also a Salvation Army board member, worked with Chico State for the past year helping with the planning of the annual blitz build project. Other Modern Building employees that volunteered their time to help build, instruct, and supervise students were Cliff Kegley, Jeff Hayes, Brian Day, Martin Perry, Craig Johnson, and Bud Shope. Many other members of the community were also involved in the project, as “it takes a village” to build two duplexes in just 9 days. The project began at 6:00 am on Friday, March 14th, and will be finished on Saturday, March 22nd. Modern Building Company has been involved with the blitz build program for the last six years.
