Project Description:

California Olive Ranch California Olive Ranch, located just south of Orland in the small town of Artois, CA, is the largest American olive oil producer. With over 10,000 acres under cultivation they produce 60% of the olive oil that is grown in California. In 2007, Modern Building Company designed and built their 35,000 square foot olive oil processing, storage, and shipping facility. The building contains separate areas for harvested bulk olive, oil processing, oil storage, bottling and bottle  storage, shipping, and administrative offices.  The $2.3 million building is a combination of concrete slab-on-grade; split-faced CMU block walls; prefabricated steel roof and some walls; traditional wood framing; deep processing pits and concrete vaults below grade.
