Project Description:

Modern Building Company constructed a new warehouse facility for Crain Walnut Shelling.  Project Manager, James Seegert along with Superintendent, Josh Muscetta and many of our Modern crew members kicked off the project July 1st, 2014. Located in Los Molinos, CA, the nearly 50,000 square foot building consists of two cold storage rooms, warehouse space, and a shipping and receiving dock.  Constructed with concrete tilt-up walls, and a VP Buildings roof system, the project used over 300 tons of steel and over 3,000 yards of concrete.  The tilt-up construction was complex due to the insulated panels for the cold storage  areas, and the lack of casting room at the site. Following the completion of this warehouse, Modern will begin the construction of a new 40,000 square foot walnut processing building for Crain, estimated to be completed this July.
