Project Description:

Design-build construction of this 231,000 square foot, 4-level parking garage began in August, 2007. Modern’s design-build team was selected in the Fall of 2005. Working with the hospital administration, the City of Chico and surrounding neighborhood, all design elements were selected to meet the hospital’s budget and asthetics of the residential neighborhood. This $12 million concrete structure features geo-pier foundations, cast-in-place slab on grade, pre-cast concrete columns and beams, and cast-in-place elevated decks. All four sides of the building feature a metal stud and stucco façade, with colors to blend with the surrounding neighborhood.
